Match Any
Playcount less than 3
Rating between 4 & 5
Genre not iTrip
Genre not Xmas
I can't get the iTrip stations out of the list since they've not played more than 3 times. I want them out as they are annoying but I can't figure how to force the playcout to 3 or above and there's not either/or ability with the match option.
I've heard about applescripts but have no idea about how to write one nor apply the script should one exist.
I would for starters just like to be able to play the songs that have check marks next to them. either by album or artist or songs or all three. what exactly do I need to enter in smart playlists to achive this?
I'm having trouble with some tracks that don't keep their rating on my ipod. I have a "Not Rated" playlist that I use to rate tracks. For some reason, I have a few tracks that keep coming back to appear on the list, after I've rated them once (or numerous times) already. They appear back unrated with no stars.
It seems to happen after I dock my ipod or charge it every night. I'm using OS 10.2, iTunes 3, 10G iPod (2.1).
Can anyone help? Is it possible to have a main menu with each category named via Genre consisting of sub menus with Albums of that nature in iTunes?...example...
I've been fooling around with Smart Playlists and the new Grouping category in iTunes 4.2. I've noticed, however, that my iPod doesn't pick up the songs included on the playlists with the Grouping tag.
The playlists work fine on iTunes on my Mac, they just don't transfer the songs to the iPod (3G 15GB).
My main disappointment with My Ratings after buying iPod was that I did not find a way to activate shuffle play such that iPod would play songs with ***** rating 5x more than those with * rating. From some article about iPod I had got the idea that it would.
This is certainly something that I would want to see, and still in the current product as a downloadable SW, as there is no hope I would buy a new iPod just for that...
With MacWorld SF 2004 approaching, we've all got our sights set on iTunes 5.0. What are your feature requests for the next major version?
Ours are below:
- better and/or (boolean) selectors in Smart Playlists
- smarter Sound Check
- global hot keys for itunes control (ala Synergy)
- ability to print CD labels, track listings, and tray inserts
- CD Text burning support (for Sony & other cd players)
- "orange arrow" artist and album navigation for library (like in iTunes music store)
Is there anyway to list songs by the auto volume adjustment? When I rip a new CD, it comes in at like -6dB. So I figure I must have some really low volume songs that it's trying to compensate for. Any way I can track down these low volume songs and delete them, so it won't have to lower everything else?
I LOVE SMART PLAYLISTS!
My iTunes Music Library is 60gb.
My iPod is only 30 gb.
Here's my wish:
I want my smart playlists to apply only to random 30gb chunks of my music library, but there is no way to specify "have these 100 smart playlists sum to 30gb".
I think what I want to do is to simply write an applescript to select the checkboxes for 30gb of music and then just check "only sync checked songs" or whatever that option is.
Does this make sense? Please let me know if there is a better way.
In addition, there are still songs that I want to keep unchecked, so I think I'll write another script to first set say the BPM field to 0 for all songs that I currently have unchecked, and then tell my "Check 30gb" script to ignore any songs with BPM = 0.
I also like to listen to full albums, so I think I want it to select full albums up to 30gb, there's a script at Macosxhints.com that I can't seem to find right now that might help me out some.
Anyway,...I don't know anything about applescript, so any tips or useful websites would me much appreciated.
