I create a playlist on iTunes on my hard drive. Then I drag and drop it to my iPod. However, when I do that, it transfers the songs in the playlist, which themselves are already on the iPod, creating duplicates.
What am I doing wrong? Can one not just transfer a playlist to the iPod without transferring songs?
I have a problem when I create a smart playlist using simple directions:
My rating is greater than 3 +
Limit to 25 songs selected by least recently played.
Now, what happens is that i get a whole heap of one particular artist or all tunes from a particular album. Is it possible for it to only choose say two songs from each artist that fits the critera, or no more than 2 songs from one particular artist? I run this using the random option as well, but when most of the songs on the playlist are from the same source it doesn't help
I've got lots of mucic and playlists on a Windows machine and just got a Mac and want to move all my music over... is there a way to move my smart playlists and ratings info over from my Windows machine?
Hi. I use a Macs at work and at home and would like to be able to sync my iPod and its Smart Playlists with both computers, keeping the Play Count and Last Played information up to date. By default, iTunes/iPod only lets your iPod be "linked" to one computer's library at a time. Is there a way to override this?
Have been an ipod owner since day one and wondering if I need to adjust my genre's maybe. I have a lot of classical, jazz and then fair bit of rock, pop, oldies, classick rock and not a lot of hip hop.
So those are how my tunes are sorted by genre and I have a bunch of playlists to accomodate it. How do you guys sort your tunes and such?
I have an album called "singles" and in here I throw all the single-type tracks I by from itunes store and that I rip from my own cd's. Can anyone reccomend another approach? Many thanks.
..and it brings up every song i have without a rating. However, theres a problem...
When I'm listening to this list, and I rate a song (which was the whole point of the list in the first place), the song then jumps out of the list (and hence stops playing). This means I don't get to hear the full song.
I don't want to have to listen to the song, then go back, rate, return to the next song and carry on....I want to be able to rate it and STILL finish the song. Any ideas?
