 Last Played and Play Counts

iTunes Tips
redline

iTunes 4.1 (Mac version) lets AppleScript manipulate Play Count and Last Played tags. I've just posted two scripts that will assist you in re-setting these tags to whatever you like: New Last Played Date and New Play Count. Cheers!

View your Artwork on All 3 Macs

iTunes Tips
redline

If you've checked the Look for Shared Music

(See Preferences > Sharing tab)

Your album artwork can also be viewed by the other 2 Authorized Macs.

If yours doesn't, do this:

In iTunes, Click the Show or hide song artwork button, beneath the Playlists colum on the left.

Now, "Command-click" the bar called Selected Song.

The name changes to say Now Playing, & your artwork should now be visable.

Do the same thing to switch back to the old way, but why would you want to??

Hope this helps somebody!!!

 Easy Album Art

iTunes Tips
redline

iTunes's album cover art function sure is cool - too bad it's such a hassle to find the art itself.

Well, hassles are now extinct. With this download (link at the bottom of this post), all you need to do is play the song for which you want the art and then open the program you downloaded, The Big Picture X. It will then open an internet browser, go to amazon.com, look up your album, get the largest (and therefore highest resolution) cover photo available, and download it for you.

Make sure that you have the album's name filled out in the song's Get Info box in iTunes before opening The Big Picture, otherwise it won't work.

Here's the download link:
