 Songs not in a playlist?

Questions

I have a lot of songs on my ipod, and a bunch of playlists. How can I ensure that all the songs in my library are contained on at least one playlist?

Make a Smart Playlist as follows:

Match 'all' of the following conditions:

Playlist is not 'Allister Playlist #1'
Playlist is not 'Allister Playlist #2'
... continue until you've listed all of your iTunes playlists

The result should be a list of songs that don't show up on any of your playlists.

that's extra work tho - whenever you make a playlist you have to add it to the other.

an easier way to do this would be to put all the playlists you use on your ipod in a playlist folder (maybe called "ipod playlists") and then have a smart playlist:

--
match the following rule:
<playlist><is not><ipod playlists>
