 How to auto delete played tracks from ipod?

I would like to have played podcasts deleted automatically from my ipod and itunes once they have been played on my ipod, any ideas or suggestions.

Make two smart playlists:
The first is all podcasts that haven't been played (play count 0). This is the playlist you listen to.

The second is all podcasts that have been played (play count >0). You will have to manually delete anything in this playlist regularly.

I downloaded a shareware called NaSa's e.Purge. You tell it which folder to check, how often to check it, and the conditions for deletion. For example, I have it check some podcast folders every 12 hours and delete anything older than 2 weeks old. The downside is, if you computer is turned off when it tries to purge, it loses track of when it's supposed to purge, so you have to go back into it and "reset" the timing. When you play with it, this will make a little more sense.
