Auto-equalizer?

You can set equalizer settings for each individual song in iTunes, or you can set the global equalizer. But I have 5000 songs, ranging from jazz to rock. Is there any way to set the equalizer automatically for each genre (ie, use Rock for rock music) without having to set each song?

If you turn on "browse by genre" in the preferences, you can easily select each genre in the browser, do a select all, and assign eq settings.

I'm interested in what equalizer settings you find work best for each basic genre

Simple... you just have to browse all the rock music you have and select them all, then just change the eq for them as a block
