Manual update overruled at midnight?

I've discovered a quirk in iTunes 4.2 with my Unrated playlist. I keep it set not to update dynamically, because of course I don't want it to stop playing when I rate a song. I have noticed, though, that when iTunes is open and the playlist is selected, the playlist gets updated at midnight. (I don't know if this occurs when another source/playlist is selected.)

As such, if I song I have just rated is playing as the clock passes the 0:00 mark (24-hour time), iTunes will update the playlist and cut off the music.

Anyone else experience this?
