Year range with 2 or more Genres?

Questions
redline

I would like to have Rock/pop and Rock and maybe another Genre between the years 2002 to 2004
I tried:

Genre is rock
Genre is rock/pop
year is in the range 2002 to 2004

I tried any/all of the following conditions.
Can anyone help?

This can be solved with a new feature in iTunes 4.5- "playlist is"

You can now base playlists on other playlists. A cumbersome workaround for and/or functionality.

The reason the original solution doesn't work ist because it would only match songs which have both "rock" and "rock/pop" as genre at the same time - and these songs don't exist.

You can either use 2 seperate playlists (1 for rock, one for rock/pop) and combine them in a third one, or - if there aren't any other genres containing "rock" in you library - you might use this:

Genre contains rock
year is in the range 2002 to 2004
