Artist Most Played?

Hi

Is it possible to do a Smart Playlist of Artist Most Played? I've had a play around with the SP settings but can't see how to do it - mainly because of itunes working in Songs as the basic unit of everything! Any ideas?

I don’t think that it’s possible without any plug-in, I’m waiting for something like this, too.

A workaround would be to use e.g. audioscrobbler.com or itunesregistry.com/ and do a manual playlist with the information gathered from there.

If you could you would end up listening to the same artist over and over. Think about it, you start out with a list of 10 artists. You start listening to your playlist. For whatever reason you have to leave your music half-way through. Now you have 5 artists played more than the others, so your playlist now has 5. Repeat.

I wouldn't mind that - it'd be quite intereting to see how far a list like that would actually implode as you suggest.
